Synopsis by Jonathan Crow

Vishram Bedekar directs this stridently pro-religious fantasy. Though the matriarch of a fervently religious group of Untouchables, Bichwa (Durga Khote) is not allowed to enter the local temple because of her caste. When her beautiful daughter Lakha -- a gifted dancer -- marries a prince from a group of ardent atheists, Bichwa has her excommunicated. The devout community meets hard times following an economic downturn and increasing hostilities with the atheists. Matters turn out for the better for the devout when god comes down from the heavens, thwarts the atheists, and does away with the caste system. Future cinematic master Guru Dutt makes his screen debut in this film as a Lakha's brother Lachman.
