Synopsis by Augustine Chay
Takuro Atsuki, Takahito Hosoyamada, Yoshihiko Hosoda, and Rei Yoshida co-star in director Nobuhiko Ôbayashi’s anti-war fantasy drama. Three young men in an old movie theater near Hiroshima are transported back in time into the golden age of Japanese cinema. They live out scenes from war movies of the 19th and early 20th century before confronting the historical inevitability of the nuclear bombing of Hiroshima.
