Belgian activist filmmaker and satirist Jan Bucquoy turns his eye on capitalism -- in the form of renowned French auto manufacturer Renault -- in this polemical semi- documentary. In 1997, Renault decided to close a manufacturing planet in Vilvoorde with little consideration of how it would effect the community, and here Bucquoy mixes footage of the strikes and demonstrations that followed with excerpts (both relevant and otherwise) from revolutionary films of the past (ranging from Sergei Eisenstein's Oktyabr to the Lumiere Brothers' Workers Leaving the Factory), and fantasy sequences in which the chairman of the automaking firm is kidnapped for his crimes against the people. The first part of the title comes from a few random sequences where Bucquoy is seen refocusing his revolutionary energies with a female comrade (presumably his significant other). La Vie Sexualle des Belges, 3e partie: Fermeture de l'usine Renault a Vilvoorde/The Sexual Life of the Belgians, Part 3: The Closing Down of the Renault Factory at Vilvoorde was shown at the 1999 Berlin Film Festival; someone ought to show it on a double-bill with Michael Moore's Roger & Me.
