Synopsis by Dan Pavlides

Laurence (Monique Lejeune) is a young French woman who tries to find her friend, a member of the resistance, in this somber drama. Laurence has survived the concentration camp and tries to live a normal life after her harrowing experience, but when she finds her friend is married, she becomes a drifter. Laurence later finds love with Jean (Victor Lanoux), but his dedication to his studies precludes him from reciprocating her feelings for him. Film footage of the Nazi concentration camps is added effectively to relate Laurence's history with her struggle to overcome her wartime trauma.
