Best known for his spaghetti Westerns like Comin' at Ya!, director Ferdinando Baldi entered the sleaze arena with this mean-spirited variant on Aldo Lado's hit L'Ultimo Treno della Notte. Three sadistic thugs board a late-night train and rape, bully, and torture their way through the unsavory collection of passengers before the inevitable revenge murders. Screenwriter Luigi Montefiore, best known as the monster in Anthropophagous and its sequel, gives the viewer sex in a toilet, incest, violated virgins, decapitation, and an old woman being suffocated, among other dubious highlights, but the film still somehow manages to be excruciatingly dull. Genre veterans Silvia Dionisio, Werner Pochath, and Zora Kerova lead the cast, and Eurotrash cultists will spot Carlo de Mejo and Venantino Venantini as well.
