Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
An elderly Mexican man recalls immigrating to California as a teenager, and gradually discovering all the America had to offer after boldly venturing off of the modest cattle ranch where he worked alongside his father. Niño was just 17 when his father brought him to the U.S. to work on a ranch in the Santa Lucia Mountains. Working long hours, the young laborer dreamt of fleeing the ranch, and exploring his surroundings. When a cow squeezes through a hole in the fence, Niño quickly follows, discovering a whole new world that he never knew existed.
