This Czech parody is truly unique for both it's story and the technical aspects as it pays tongue-in-cheek tribute to the history of black and white films from silent films to talkies. The bizarre plot of the film is based upon Josef Vachal's 1924 work, Bloody Novel. It is the author who provides the continuity to the chaotic developments.
