Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Koska. ..and His Family was an unsold 60-minute pilot, originally telecast on the last day of 1973. Koska (Herb Edelman), an unemployed aerospace engineer, decides to become an inventor. He sets up a lab in his own home, where he is constantly driven bonkers by his physical education teacher wife (Barbara Barrie), his voting-age kids (Jack David Warner and Ellen Sherman) and his aphasiatic grandpa (Liam Dunn). Only Koska's unquenchable optimism enables him to persevere. Though obviously inspired by the success of All in the Family, Koska...and His Family takes pains not to imitate any of the trademarks or characterizations of its role model.
