Two wandering knights-in-training are faced with the prospect of becoming heroes after becoming the guardians of a kidnapped princess in this mirthful medieval comedy. In the wake of King Arthur's death, Gilbert and Edgar befriend a mysterious knight who promises to lead them on a daring adventure. But when their brave companion perishes under bizarre circumstances, the two young travelers discover in his possession a bag of gold, and a note from a desperate King Kendrick. Kendrick's daughter Katrina has been abducted, and the vengeful monarch had sought the fallen knight's assistance in rescuing her. Subsequently hired by the villainous King Vincent to guard the imprisoned princess until their wedding date, Gilbert and Edgar bide their time until they can rescue her, and officially earn their knighthoods.
