Universal's ace serial star Eddie Polo goes up against a villainous circus owner in this action adventure which was directed by genre specialist J.P. McGowan and released in 18 chapters. When Eddie King (Polo) discovers that the man he works for, James Gray (Henry Madison), is the very same villain who once cheated his father out of his circus, Eddie takes matters into his own hands, helped in some cases but mainly hindered by Mary Warren (Corrine Porter), Gray's pretty ward. Although not one of Polo's better efforts, King of the Circus benefited from the presence of such Universal stalwarts as Tom London (still billed under his real name of Leonard Clapham) and future director Jay Marchant.
