This full-length feature film looks to conclude the story of the long-running TV series Kimagure Orange Road. It is in this edition of the narrative that Kyosuke's true feelings are known and he makes his decision about which of the two girls who have so long chased him will be the one with whom he shares his life. Flashbacks help add perspective to the events that unfold and add an overall air of wistfulness as Kyosuke and Madoka become ready for college, Hiraku reaches her last year of high school, and the characters all cross the bridge to adulthood.
