Synopsis by Cammila Collar
Kimagure Orange Road is a basic love-triangle soap opera with a twist: one of the people involved has telekinetic powers. Kyosuke Kasuga has the same gift that his mother and sisters have: a subtle ability to move objects with his mind. Considering the oddness of this element of the plot, it plays a relatively small role in the overall theme of the show, which deals mostly with the feelings Kyosuke has for a girl named Madoka. Madoka returns the feelings, but dares not make it known because her best friend, Hiraku, is also in love with him. Kyosuke keeps his psychic abilities secret and refuses to use them to gain Madoka's affection because this would be cheating. The show has spawned two feature films and an eight volume OVA and is considered to be a classic in the genre.
