Synopsis by Gönül Dönmez-Colin
In the Aegean area, two rival families of a bygone era who made their wealth on the caravan trade take the advice of their educated offspring and invest in inter-urban bus transportation. Their precious camels now show their skills in the traditional camel wrestling contests, and the rivalry between the families continues on a different level. Misfortune falls on the head of the trainer of one family when he loses his heart to the beautiful daughter of a gypsy chief who eventually deserts him. But those who lose in love win in other ways, as the saying goes. The camel he is training becomes victorious over the others. The underlying theme of this costume drama is the danger to traditional arts in the face of industrialization.
