Jazz pianist Keith Jarrett first came to the attention of many listeners during his three-year stint with the Charles Lloyd Quartet from 1966 to 1969. In 1968, they appeared on Jazz Casual, a television series hosted by critic Ralph Gleason which featured some of the most influential figures in modern music. Keith Jarrett: Directions -- In the Charles Lloyd Mood features material from the quartet's Jazz Casual broadcast; the band also includes Jack de Johnette on drums and Ron McClure on bass. Selections include "Love Ship," "Tagore," "Passing Through," and "Forest Flower."
