Synopsis by John Voorhees
This Canadian attempt at experimental filmmaking is a sledgehammer-subtle political and sexual satire from the ever tactful Mike Hoolboom. The language and lifestyle conflicts in Canada have torn the country apart, and the nation faces Civil War with secessionist Quebecois. At the helm is Prime Minster Wayne Gretzky (Andrew Scorer), trying to keep the pieces together. These and other depressing news stories are related by a news anchor with a skull for a head. In the middle of this chaos, a lesbian couple just tries to get on with their life. One is a bourgeois writer, the other a highly politicized hooker. Both are as doomed as the rest of the nation.
