This snappy youth-oriented musical comedy from Hungary (whose title literally translates as "Pirates") was shown at the 1999 Hungarian Film Week Festival. Pipi (Attila Kiraly), Max (Viktor Bodo) and Juli (Karina Kecskes) are three Hungarian pop music fans who by day operate a pirate radio station. By night, Pipi and Juli are habitués of the club circuit and Max plays drums with an otherwise all-female rock group. The three friends see their lives of fun and music threatened, first when Pipi takes a job with a commercial radio outlet, and second when Pipi and Max both fall for the same woman. The Hungarian pop group Jazz+Az was formed for this film and later earned several chart hits in their homeland; for release in English speaking countries, their songs have been translated into English (though not the film's dialogue).
