Synopsis by Robert Firsching
This weak horror film from director Yoshihiro Ishikawa tried to trade on the success of the trilogy of films beginning with Kaibyo Arima Goten (1953), but without the star power of Takako Irie, the result is flat and listless. Like its predecessors, this film is based on the legend of the "kaibyo," the spirit of a cat incarnated as a woman who can transform at will into a predatory feline. Here, a ghost-cat poses as a witch to avenge her master, who was killed generations before by the ancestors of her intended victims. Sheizaburo Date, Noriko Kitazawa, and Hiroshi Sugi co-star in this unremarkable trifle.
