Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Created and written by Kay Mellor, who also played a starring role, the British series Just Us addressed the plight of children from broken or otherwise one-parent homes. The individual episodes recounted the trials and tribulations of youngsters and teenagers as they tried to adjust to their new step-parents. Assisting Mellor with the scripts and the production chores was the equally versatile Amanda Silvester. The winner of the Writer's Guild of Great Britain award for Best TV Drama, Just Us ran from 1992 to 1995, after which several of the best episodes were spliced together as a direct-to-video "feature film."
