Synopsis by Hal Erickson
The basic throughline of this British dramatic anthology was implicit in its title. On each of the series' 12 50-minute episodes, a famous courtroom trial was reenacted from the jury's point-of-view. And on each occasion, it was up to the viewers at home to determine whether or not the jury had acted wisely. Produced by Peter Dews for BBC2, Jury Room originally aired in 1965, meaning that it was lensed in black-and-white (color TV in Britain was still several years away).
