This is a nostalgia film about the '60's rock scene when The Beatles and the Rolling Stones are all the rage around the world. Julie and the Cadillacs, a little group from Liverpool, are still fighting for success. London PR man Adam Schneider and his partner Phil Green sign the group to a management contract and promise to make them stars. The group moves to London and meets other music people. Julie falls in love with songwriter Mike Williams. The band's first release is a flop, and when Julie turns down Schneider's advances, he vows that she will never work again. The Cadillacs go back to Liverpool. Julie breaks up with Mike but stays in London working as a waitress in a restaurant. Ten months later, Schneider's secretary walks into the restaurant and offers Julie a job as a singer for radio jingles. Julie reunites with Mike. Their record is on its way to Holland and offers begin to flood in.
