Nam Hyangmi (Hyeiyung Kim) is a singer who pleads with Colonel Lee to spare the life of her husband in this somber war drama. She shoots the Colonel but only wounds him in the hand. Nam is chased by troops and captured, but Colonel Lee convinces her to become a spy. With a crippled son, an aging mother, and the threat of death, Nam has no choice but to comply. After she steals a notebook from an enemy commander, she is chased through the sewers by communist troops. Nam's mother and son are captured and paraded through the street until she is forced to emerge from hiding. The entire family faces the firing squad as the South Korean troops close in on the enemy.
