Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
For one week every year, thousands of people make the trip to the Black Rock Desert in Reno, Nevada to take part in the ultimate social experiment. The Burning Man festival is an ambitious event that takes place in a city that is five square miles in size, and exists for only seven days a year - after which there is no trace that the expansive celebration of art and creativity ever took place. No commerce is allowed, attendees must bring their own food and supplies, and every year the artists involved create something entirely new. In this documentary filmmakers draw on eight years of footage to capture the spirit of the Burning Man Festival for the benefit of viewers who may not have had to opportunity to experience the once-in-a-lifetime event firsthand.
