Synopsis by Maggie Sadler
In Guatemala, nineteen-year-old José (Enrique Salanic) lives with his middle-aged mother (Ana Cecilia Mota) as her companion and caretaker. José struggles balancing life as an average teen, making ends meet, and experiencing the shortcomings of casual sex against the violent yet intensely religious background of his home nation. When he crosses paths with Luis (Manolo Herrera), his life plunges into a newfound world of intense heartbreak and joy. Written and directed by Li Cheng.
