Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Produced in Brazil, but with an eye on the American market, Jorge um Brasileiro features Hollywood's Dean Stockwell and home-grown star Carlos Alberto Riccelli. The two leading men play truck drivers, whose friendship is threatened when Mario (Stockwell) is promoted. Jorge (Riccelli) is certain that his relationship with Mario will go on as before, but he's sadly mistaken. Never overplaying its hand, Jorge um Brasileiro paints its characters in three-dimensional terms: Stockwell isn't a bad sort, he simply takes himself too seriously. Director Paulo Thaigo co-wrote the screenplay with Alcione Araujo.
