Synopsis by Maggie Sadler
In a rural town, blue-collar family man Joe Bell struggles to make ends meet. However, his values and resilience are tested when he uncovers the cruel and overwhelming harassment his teenage son endures at school for being outed as gay. Joe then vows to walk, alone, across the breadth of the United States to better understand the burdens his son must carry as a gay teen in a conservative community and draw awareness to supporting one's children no matter their identity. Based on true events. Directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green. Connie Britton, Gary Sinise, and Morgan Lily co-star.
