The Knight Oldrich of Chlum is well known as an astute and prudent judge of character. He is highly valued by the king and is officially commissioned to represent the crown at an engagement ceremony intended to make peace between two rival noble families. But immediately after arriving at the castle in which the event is supposed to take palace, two bloody murders occur in quick succession.
