Synopsis by Hal Erickson
According to BBC publicity, the surrealistic TV cartoon series Jimbo and the Jet Set was the brainchild of no less than Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York. Due to a mix-up in design, Jimbo was considerably smaller than any other jumbo jet in the United Kingdom. Cute little Jimbo lived in a provincial airport, where he and all the other vehicles had the power of speech. The principal human character was the airfield's chief controller, a certifiable "loony." Assembled by magazine cartoonist Peter Maddocks, Jimbo and the Jet Set first aired in 1987.
