Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka

With a little more character development, Jibaro could have risen above its politically-motivated symbolism to speak to a general audience. This melodrama focuses on the incorrigible Felo (Salvador Wood) who lives out in the farming boondocks, killing the wild dogs that prey on livestock. Felo and others are rounded up and trained as a peasant militia in a humorous boot-camp segment that provides a hiatus in the action. But after the militia is trained, it is time to go out and hunt down another kind of wild dog -- the counter-revolutionaries who are hiding out in the mountains.
