Synopsis by Andrea LeVasseur
London-based filmmaker Leila Sansour directs the documentary Jeremy Hardy Versus the Israeli Army. In April 2002, British comedian Jeremy Hardy spent four days in Palestine to join the International Solidarity Movement in a nonviolent protest of Israel's occupation of the West Bank. However, on Easter Monday, the ISM protesters are fired upon in Beit Jala. After being confined to a hotel, Hardy is evacuated by the British consulate and sent back to London. He returns in July to help U.S. volunteer activists take medical supplies into the West Bank.
