Synopsis by Jonathan Crow
When the well to do Soman (Thikkurisi Sukumaran Nair) marries the impoverished, though beautiful, street performer Laxmi (B. S. Saroja), Soman's brother and narrow-minded sister-in-law try to break up the marriage. Eventually Soman is forced to venture to the city while poor Laxmi and her infant child are tormented by the villagers. Soon, she to makes the arduous trek to the city, only to discover her husband cavorting with wealthy women. Misreading the situation, she refrains from telling her spouse about her whereabouts. Later, the family is restored while the evil sister-in-law is cast out onto the streets.
