Part of the Janosch video series for children, which features adventures with Janosch (pronounced yon-ish) the imaginative story-telling bear, Janosch: The Tiger, the Bear, and the Hare emphasizes the importance of compassion and generosity. In this program, Janosch re-creates magical worlds with his words, weaving tall tales and teaching lessons of charity and friendship in the process. The talkative bear character was created by the German children's author and illustrator Horst Eckert, who employed the pseudonym Janosch himself.
