Erik Estrada, long before CHiPs, costarred in the independently produced Jailbreakin'. The plot concerns the friendship between washed-up country western singer and a hotheaded barrio youth. After meeting each other in jail, the two men bust out together. Both men learn learn valuable life lessons from this and other experiences, and from their relationship. Jailbreakin' might have remained permanently on the shelf if not for Estrada's latter-day fame.
