Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Originally produced for local public television in College Station Texas, Jack Houston's ImagineLand was a nostalgic harking back to the puppet-dominated kiddie shows of old. The setting was a colorful farm, where westerned Jack Houston commiserated with a bunch of lovable puppet and marionette characters, including a philosophical horse, a musical rooster, and a mischievous pig. On each episode, Houston and his friends learned a valuable Life Lesson, with songs and comedy sketches brought along for the ride. Lasting 24 taped episodes, Jack Houston's ImagineLand was carried nationally by PBS in 1994, then repackaged to air as part of the America One Television cable-satellite service in the early 21st century.
