Synopsis by Mark Deming
One family's history keeps leading them back to the ocean in this drama from Israel filmmaker Eitan Green. Yuda (Yuval Segal) and Dina (Dorit Lev-Ari) are a young couple with a son, Udi (Ron Jaegermann) who are faced with a family crisis when one of them has a brush with death while visiting the seashore on a holiday. As the story follows the family over the years, we are witness to the joys and sorrows that are an everyday part of family life, climaxing with Yuda and Dina's efforts to bring a second child into the family, a challenge that has proven difficult in the past. Hakol Methil Bayam (aka It All Begins At The Sea) received the Innovation Award when it was screened at the 2008 Montreal World Film Festival.
