Synopsis
Recalling the battles of Latrun during Israel's war for independence. Israelis attempted twice to take the town, on the road from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, in May 1948, and were repulsed both times. Interviewed: Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, a Latrun veteran; and Shlomo Shamir, who commanded Israeli forces at Latrun.
