Pauline Starke is the star of this Triangle feature. When her alcoholic father (Ward Caulfield) dies in a drunken brawl, Pegeen (Starke) is orphaned. Pegeen runs away from her abusive stepmother, Moll (Virginia Ware), and is taken in by the kindly Sir Arthur Ormsby (Gus Saville). Pegeen falls in love with her benefactor, but when his brother, Guy (Eugene Burr), comes to Sir Arthur's castle, he falls for the pretty young girl. Guy has been trying to get away from Kitty Brice (Rae Godfrey), a chorus girl, but she has followed him. In an effort to solve this dilemma, and win Pegeen besides, Guy tells his brother that he and Pegeen are in love and that Kitty must be bought off. Later, when Arthur is meeting with Kitty, Guy takes Pegeen to see them together, sending Pegeen into a fit of jealous anger. She leaves the castle, but when she asks Kitty how to become a vamp, the chorus girl gently discourages her. Ultimately, Pegeen discovers that Sir Arthur was an innocent party, and he finds out that she loves him, so the two of them unite.
