Synopsis by Jonathan Crow
Stunt man Blackie Ko Shou-liang takes a turn in the director's chair with this action thriller set during the Gulf War. The film opens with milquetoast Yan-kit (Wong Kit) killing a gangster who was harassing his lady friend Mandy (Sharla Cheung Man) and then fleeing the city for France. There he makes the unlikely decision to enlist in the French Foreign Legion. After enduring a brutal training ritual, he is sent to Kuwait under orders to protect and defend the royal family. After surviving the mission, which leads him deep into enemy territory, he returns to Hong Kong in top fighting form, looking to avenge himself. His gangster adversary, however, has recruited a few former Foreign Legionnaires himself.
