Synopsis
The life of Lucille Ball (1911-89) is affectionately recalled in an "American Masters" biography from 2000, which concentrates on her sitcom "I Love Lucy" (1951-57). In addition, a few clips from some pre-"Lucy" films and post-"Lucy" series are featured, along with a brief sketch of her marriage---on-screen and off---to Desi Arnaz. Included are remarks by Carol Burnett, Fran Drescher and Dick Martin. Also: "Lucy" director William Asher and "Lucy" writers Bob Carroll and Madelyn Pugh-Davis.
