Synopsis by Jay Hayward
This DVD and CD combo features the legendary 20 minute film, and first recording, of Benjamin Britten's 1945 soundtrack, created for an educational film that was never produced. Composed by Britten, performed by the London Symphony Orchestra and occasionally narrated by Malcolm Sargent, this film introduces general audiences to the instrumental groups that make up an orchestra.
