Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

Produced, directed by, and starring Margery Wilson, who played D.W. Griffith's "Brown Eyes" in Intolerance, this melodramatic potboiler featured a young touring company actress, Mary Wright (Wilson), left stranded and ill in a tank town when her brother Jimmie (Percy Holton) runs off with the box-office take. She is taken in by Dr. Crabtree (Bradley Barker), whom she marries despite the misgivings of his maiden aunt (Agnes Neilsen). They have a child, but Dr. Crabtree disowns his wife when it becomes known that she stole $1,000 to keep Jimmie out of jail. Divorced, poverty-stricken, and about to lose her mental faculties, Mary returns to home, hearth, and a forgiving husband after learning that brother Jimmie has been declared innocent in a court of law.
