Synopsis by Mark Deming
Indigenous are a four-piece blues rock band comprised of young Native Americans descended from the Sioux nation, who've fused their fiery music with a potent political consciousness which comes from a lifetime of activism. Indigenous: Live is a performance video which captures the group in their element by drawing from two concerts -- a gig at the Chicago House of Blues and a benefit performance in Denver, CO, for the Native American Rights Fund. Selections include "Seven Steps Away," "Blues From The Sky," "Faults My Own," "Baby What You Want Me to Do" and more.
