Synopsis by Janiss Garza

This quickie detective story featured Raymond McKee and dignified Herbert Heyes in the leading roles. Sir Andrew (Heyes) is the head of the House of Commons, and his presence at Parliament that evening will insure the passage of a Navel increase bill. The other members of his club, however, are opposed to the bill and are determined to see it fail. While Sir Andrew relaxes at the club, Lieutenant Ripley (McKee) reveals an astounding series of events involving a murder that happened the night before. He says he escaped in the fog from the scene of the crime to report it to the police. A young lawyer takes up where Ripley left off and keeps the club members captivated. Finally, everyone confesses that the tale was just a ruse to keep Sir Andrew from going to Parliament. Sir Andrew, however, has fooled his friends -- he explains that he has already made his speech, and the bill has passed.
