This video documents the story of a group of Japanese Naval officers who led a suicidal attack on the strategic base of Sydney Australia during the closing days of World War II. The film uses this single incident to open a discussion of bushido, the samurai code that stressed obedience to the emperor above all else and led to many such tragic incidents in which Japanese sailors, soldiers and airmen gladly chose death before dishonor.
