Part of the In Search Of series, this documentary uncovers hidden facts and reveals possible explanations for the centuries-old mystery of the ape-like legend known as Bigfoot. In Search of Bigfoot, narrated by series host Leonard Nimoy, sets out to investigate the truth through the use of archival footage, current eyewitness videotape, and computer analysis, which has made it possible to learn more about this legend than ever before. Through the uses of modern technology, the deep regions of the wilderness, the uncharted depths of the oceans, and the subzero regions of the Arctic can now be explored and examined for evidence of Bigfoot. There are interviews with experts who have researched the beast, including Peter Byrne, who believes Bigfoot is some form of man. This controversial creature, which Native Americans called "Sasquatch," even has a research facility devoted specifically to the investigation of its whereabouts, called the Bigfoot Information Center in Oregon.
