The Metropolitan Opera mounted this 2011 production of Giuseppe Verdi's 1836 opera Il Trovatore, with a cast that includes Dmitri Hvorostovsky as Il Conte Di Luna, Sondra Radvanovsky as Leonora, Dolora Zajick as Azucena and Marcelo Alvarez as Manrico. The Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and Chorus lend symphonic accompaniment, the former led by maestro Marco Armiliato and the latter under the direction of choral master Donald Palumbo. Leah Hausman choreographed, Charles Edwards designed the sets, Brigitte Reiffenstuel created the costumes, and Paula Williams directs for the stage.
