Synopsis by Clarke Fountain

Originally a ten-minute short that won its three directors an award at the 1995 Locarno Film Festival, this lightweight outing follows the quest of the three filmmakers who vainly attempt to convince producers to help them make their first feature-length production. Their initial idea is to make an arty film chronicling the mundane activities of an average man from the time he awakens until the time he goes to sleep. The various producers they approach find their minimalist idea decidedly unappetizing. Things look bleak until one of the three comes up with a ludicrously different idea to pitch to producers that is based on the advice of an American scriptwriter. When they have filmed a few minutes of test footage (using all the leftover film they had) they head off to show it to yet another producer. The producer (played by the film's actual producer Ginaluca Arcopinto) is agreeable to their new idea, with a few "minor" modifications. While this is not a new story, these beginning filmmakers bring to it an amusing realism and freshness based on their own experience.
