Synopsis by Dan Pavlides
Ilona Beres and Ivan Darvas co-star in this romantic drama about two World War II survivors who try to overcome the psychological scars inflicted on them by the conflict. Janos's (Darvas) pregnant wife was killed during the war. When Teres finds that she is pregnant, however, Janos cannot bring himself to accept responsibility of raising a child in the age of the atomic bomb, and he insists that Teres abort the child. Director Gyorgy Revesz uses New Wave influences such as jump cuts and freeze frames while combining the past and present to tell the story.
