Review by Fred Beldin

The title is the first clue that there isn't much thought being put into this sequel to the smash hit slasher flick: Is there a chance that the killer might have forgotten what we did last summer? And technically, didn't the incident in question occur two summers ago by the time this new story begins? The killer, Ben Willis (Muse Watson) wastes lots of time slaughtering peripheral characters on an island retreat, sending threatening messages via karaoke machine. Worse yet, the producers have imbued their hook-wielding angler with semi-supernatural qualities a la Friday the 13th's Jason or Halloween's Michael Myers -- allowing him to always know where his victim is hiding and pop right up after being wounded -- but he has none of the soulless menace of either villain. With ludicrous incidents such as Jennifer Love Hewitt getting locked in a tanning booth by her stalker and a pothead victim whimpering, "It's all good!" as his last words, I Still Know is too light on the bloodletting and too thin on shocks to serve as anything more than a showcase for Hewitt's chest -- which seems to be the filmmakers' main priority in the first place.
