Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
As the grandmother in this film stands above the crib of her granddaughter, she reminisces about her life. All that comes to mind is a life of unrelenting drudgery and service to thoughtless and unappreciative men. Wishing to spare the girls of her village such an existence, she kills the baby and later many other girls from the village. In flight from the law, she heads for the seashore.
