Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka

Two older sisters move out of their provincial home to live in Athens, and in this metropolis that is culturally distinct from their past, they try to come to grips with their own repressed desires. They are especially dependent on each other in the strange city, although they do make friends with the custodian's daughter who demonstrates what it means to be liberated in belief and behavior. During this process of adjustment to a new life, their cousin temporarily comes back from his home in Paris because his father has died. He himself has his own problems, so when he and the younger sister start up a relationship, he finds some solace in this bright spot in his life. Meanwhile, the older sister struggles with her own emotions, fearing that she will be an unwelcome third. This film won awards for "Best New Director" (Frieda Liappa), "Best Photography" (Nicos Smaragdis), and "Best Actress" (a shared award for Mirca Papaconstantinou) at the 1981 Thessaloniki Film Festival.
